$11 Ebay Guitar.

Part 1,  The Ebay Guitar Wiring Mods!

Spending $11 on an Ebay Guitar ! Fingers crossed it is a fixer upper. The Ebay Guitar wiring Mods will transform it and I should have a fairly good axe. :) This electric guitar is an ION brand and was sold as a cheap guitar when new.

In the first episode I dismantle the Guitar and do a few minor modifications to the guitar wiring. I’ll add a Humbucker Pickup in the bridge position (Cheap Hotrail Pickup) and an off/on switch for the neck pickup. The neck pickup switch will give a fuller sound and allow for the neck to be turned on when the bridge pickup is also on. The humbucker have a split switch that will provide the ability to cut the humbucker in half, as a result, the pickup will be closer to the same output as the other pickups.

Part 2 of the $11 Ebay Guitar Mod!

In this episode I fix the hight fret, clean and re-assemble the Guitar.
I test out the Humbucker Pickup in the bridge position (Cheap Hotrail Pickup) and all the off/on switches and earth wires. This is an easy DIY guitar mod that most people could do.
